Evaluation of your Blogging Experience

I think that this part of the course was very  entertaining and I really learned, because we had to write about many things that I didn’t write before. So, I think that write blogs about casual things, and about our career was so interesting, and helped us to think in our tastes, and this posts will keep forever, so when we can, we will read, and it will be funny, I think so.

I feel that my writing skills improved after 9 blogs and other exercices, because we fixed our mistakes in class and we learned inmediatly. So, I really enjoyed writing and developed other skills that in my case, in the school I didn´t work it.

I think that this part of the course is fun,so I dont know if I would change or include something. But, thinking, I would change the exercice of London, and I would give more time to do it. Also, I would put other options when we have to choose the topical of the blog, more options to select. For example, I would like to write about my hobbies, or about literature or authors, about controversial news, or read an article and write about it in the next class, I don’t know, things like that.

The strangest dream you’ve had

I like to think about my dreams, because I like so much the “world” behind that concept.
All the mornings, when I wake up, I try to remember what I dreamed last night. But, when I go to sleep tired, most of the time I dont dream, and it´s sad.
So, it’s difficult to think in only one “strange dream”, but I remember specific one that I woke up very alarmed.
It was a long time ago, and I was in a lake, with my family I think. I was happy, and I go to the water, but when I was inside, I look down and I couldn’t saw my feets. This mades me feel very confused because its seemed a cloudy water , but no one felt that. I remember that feeling very bad, and is strange because I can't remember nothing else about the dream after feeling that.
I never spoke about it because when I searched the meaning, I can't found and I believe this dream was something bad, and I tried to forget it. But when I think in stranges dreams, I always remember this dream and other one that I lived a tsunami.
So, I think my dreams related with water always will be strange and dangerous, I don’t remember to dream with calm water.

A Subject you've enjoyed studying this semester

This semester I have six subjects, and I don’t really like all of it, like the first semester. But, I have to accept that I like “Historia Social de Chile”. This subject is very interesting because the teacher knows a lot of Chilean history, and its makes that we want search more information about it, and participate in class.
This subject is related with the forget history about the people of Chile, and how they built their own story. Also, we have to investigate and write of many groups of people that create the Chilean society, and know all the obstacles that they had to past for living and survive.
Now, we are investigate about indigenous people and the stigmatization, the repression, the discrimination, among others troubles that they have to deal. It’s a topical issue because this last month, we have seen the repression on mapuche’s people, and all militarized area.
Also, I like History since I was in school, and always I want to know more about our past and our origins, because this let explain things that affect to our society in the present.

Carrer-Related Website

This is a magazine related with my career, Social Work. In the website, you can find a lot of articles about  specific topic, the functionalist approach.
This year, in one subject, we have to pick up an approach and learn about it, for finally expose. So, I have to read all week this website, to find more information and articles related with the approach.
I didn’t really like this issue, but we didn’t have more options, because all the others was chosen. But now, that I read a lot of texts and books, I feel more connected with the point of view to the authors.
In the website, you can find some sections to download the articles (in pdf), and others sections to authors and academics, who can publish, as long as abide by the condictions defined by the magazine.
We realised that one of the magazine’s editor, Hugo Cadenas, is our teacher of Teoría Sociológica, a subject that we have this semester, and it will very interesting asking him about this project, and how he became part of this group of academics.

My Favourite Artist

I’m going to start by mentioning that I like art and all its expressions, but I like the most the literature. So, I’m going to talk about Pedro Lemebel, one of my favourite artists.
Lemebel was a writer and plastic artist. He was born in 1952 in Santiago de Chile, in the midst of misery, and that is reveal in many of his writings. His life was very interesting, because he always lived denounced the marginality of many of the social groups, also he was involved in the protest and the mobilizations against the dictatorship. But he was more than that. The thing that I like of him, is that he lived like he wanted, wrote about his life and he didn’t care the social stigmatization. He participated in many projects that contributed to the culture, and put on the table many controversial issues, to help to visibility and understand other lifestyles and ways of thinking. And that’s for I knew him, read his posts.
Some of his books named “Tengo miedo, torero”, “Adiós, mariquita linda”, “Háblame de amores”, among others.

The story of a picture

I like so much this photo, because was taken in a trip that I will remember forever. Was taken in Arequipa, Perú, the last year, when my friends and I traveled to there.
This trip was so tragic, but funny at the end, because one of my friends, got sick after ate something like spoiled food (I’m not sure, we will never know) or some like that, because she couldn’t continue the trip for the fever and stomach pain, so we spent three days jammed in a hostel, waiting for some help. We really didn´t know anyone, and we was in other country, so we didn´t know the hospitals or some like that. But after of everything, we returned to Chile and she got better so quickly, that we never knew what happened to her.
I like this photo because even the bads moments (so bad) we were so happy and this image shows that joy.

My pet

I have the most beautiful dog in the world. He came home, after we lost other dog (I cried for months, because she was my partner all my life).
He’s name is Antu, and he’s one year old. He’s a beagle, so he is very small. He’s very very playful and naughty; break all the clothes that we leave on the floor or accidentally fall. Once, he lost a shoe’s dad, and we never found it.
He loves to walk in the park and meet others dogs, is very friendly. It’s a happy dog all day long, until we leave outside to sleep, because he’s start to cry.
A couple of days ago, he learnt to open the door, and slowly, got up the stairs and went to my room to ate and broke everything.  But, I love him so much, so I can punish.

My favourite piece of technology

I think that my favourite piece of technology is my cellphone, even I use very constantly my notebook and the TV, I spend a lot of time (day and night) my mobile.
I got my first mobile when I was 14, I think (or before) and since that, I lost only one, and I spent just like a month without a mobile.
Actually, I really love check the social networks and the notifications, and this last time, I thougth that I need leave it and disconnect, and do others activities that I leave for check my phone (like play with my dog, met with my friends, etc).
I think that I'm so accustomed to the technology and the internet, that live without the cellphone is a hard to think, but I believe that we will  adapt to life without it, and back to the "old days".

Post 2

I decided to study Social Work after many other options I had before. When I ended high school, I really didn’t know what study, so I started a “Bachillerato” in the University of Santiago de Chile, but I left in the second semester.
The next year, I entered to Derecho in the University Diego Portales, because I really felt that this career it would makes me happy. But at the second year, I realized that the job I would have isn’t that I want, and the competition inside, between the classmates it was very hard. For that and others reasons, I decided change to Social Work.
My dream job always was to work with people and support them, as teacher, as psychology, etc. and Social Work - until the moment- has been very comfortable. I would like to have a job that be related to troubles of  violence in the family and children that need change them reality.
