I’m going
to start by mentioning that I like art and all its expressions, but I like the
most the literature. So, I’m going to talk about Pedro Lemebel, one of my
favourite artists.
Lemebel was
a writer and plastic artist. He was born in 1952 in Santiago de Chile, in the
midst of misery, and that is reveal in many of his writings. His life was very
interesting, because he always lived denounced the marginality of many of the
social groups, also he was involved in the protest and the mobilizations against
the dictatorship. But he was more than that. The thing that I like of him, is that
he lived like he wanted, wrote about his life and he didn’t care the social
stigmatization. He participated in many projects that contributed to the culture,
and put on the table many controversial issues, to help to visibility and
understand other lifestyles and ways of thinking. And that’s for I knew him,
read his posts.
Some of his books named “Tengo miedo, torero”, “Adiós,
mariquita linda”, “Háblame de amores”, among others.
